Fight back and tip the scales by empowering investors to rally together and fund true web3 people, projects, and causes otherwise ignored by these apes. MADdegens is a global community of citizens who freely connect, share, organize and support one another in Web3 and the human-cause. The Web3 space is already filled with the noise of elites seeking to use it for the purpose of personal gain and profit. ‘Decentralized’ is supposed to mean that everyone, from the average individual to the elite, has an equal voice and a level playing field.
Members of the MADdegens Community are advocates in supporting and funding web3 entrepreneurs, artists, creators, and innovators. We are building a social crowdfunding DAO and Web3 Accelerator to provide a helping hand to promising projects and their founders. This social crowdfunding DAO will provide onboarding and grants, from the seed stage through to MVP stages, all the way through to the launch of their projects. Doing so rewards these entrepreneurs for attempting to make a difference and rewards the MADdegens Community (MDC) with valuable opportunities, rewards, and connections. Assistance with funding for approved projects will be voted on and provided by the MADdegens Community Treasury. Unlike traditional VC funding, MADdegens utilizes the power of de-VC, and all investments or payments from the treasury are voted as a community and the use of these funds is completely transparent on the blockchain.

Our coup starts with the Megalomaniacs NFT, from which the MADdegens DAO is formed and your megalomaniac becomes your membership degenership, with governance token to follow.
As one of the first 666 Megalomaniac NFT’s minted, you will get unique rarity – only the first 666 will have the them sitting on their throne. The first 66 will also get OG status with a gold “OG” pin. Plus, you’ll be part of the ground floor in the web3 movement. This is an open letter: a call to the curious, a bawl to the bold, a roar to the rebels… and a challenge to the change seekers! If you want to keep the decentralized space free while helping combat the hopelessness spread by real megalomaniacs… join us! We are MADdegens and so are you!
Although Web3 does bring the possibility of a widely decentralized internet, large business interests have already set their sights on this rapidly developing financial space. VCs collectively invested an estimated $30 billion in 2021 alone and they are not showing any signs of slowing down, with some already having a large say in many “blue-chip” NFT or web3 projects.
In fact, a16z (Andreessen Horowitz), a VC firm, recently led a funding round for Yuga Labs and their Bored Ape Yacht Club project (currently the largest NFT project on the planet) that raised $450 million. Facebook is so confident in the future of Web3 and the ‘Metaverse’ that they rebranded their company to ‘Meta,’ and even though they lost nearly $3 billion in the first quarter of 2022 to their Metaverse venture, they have indicated they are still going full speed ahead into the 2030s. Jack Dorsey, the former CEO of Twitter, has even stated “You don’t own ‘web3.’ The VCs and their LPs do… It’s ultimately a centralized entity with a different label.”
With so much ‘big money’ coming into crypto, it can be extremely difficult for smaller investors and the ‘builders’ to be noticed and receive the support they need. So many entrepreneurs looking to make a difference in the decentralized space are criminally underfunded, especially outside of the USA. It doesn’t help that most VCs are looking to maintain the status quo and choose to provide funding to projects that fit their vision and goals.
Despite many Web3 communities outcrying against this, nothing has stopped them. The decentralized space of crypto and Web3 fosters revolutionary ideas and innovative startups looking to change the world at its core, but their bold projects are being intentionally ignored. Banding together and providing power to the everyday person is the only way to truly keep Web3 as decentralized as possible.
Thankfully, Web3 provides the means for people of all creeds and color to come together to build real Community and each other up. Web3 needs a new DAO to stand up for what Web3 should and can be – decentralized, with everyone from all walks of life having an equal voice.

Every day we all must deal with the decisions of the megalomaniacs of the world. The decentralized space finally offers everyone, no matter the size of your wallet, an equal say in decisions that can change the world. Promising projects focused on decentralization are popping up all the time, but large VCs and corporations are only focused on their own self-interests. If you don’t fit their idea of Web3, you won’t even be noticed. It’s enough to make a degen go MAD. Therefore, we’re a group of MADdΞgΞns looking to invest in and support the new, the little, the dreamers, and the innovators that need a helping hand even to get started. We will do this through grants, profit-sharing, and NFTs, never taking equity from those we serve.
Frustrated at the bigwigs slicing up Web3? Good, you’re already halfway to being a MADdegen! To be a full-fledged member of the MADdegens Community (MDC) and future DAO, you’ll need to be a holder of a ‘Megalomaniac.’ These are rather… um… charming… caricatures reminiscent of the real-life megalomaniacs you see in the headlines every day. The Megalomaniacs will be the first NFT series of the MADdegens.
Solana (SOL), of course! What… you think all the ‘good’ projects are only on Ethereum? As if it isn’t hard enough for decentralized startups to get the support they need, you now also want to tack on insanely high transaction fees or unbearably slow transaction times? We might be MAD… but we’re not crazy. SOL allows ALL degens to degen easily. SOL’s “proof-of-stake” mechanism allows for extremely fast transactions that are amazingly cheap and environmentally friendly. There are a vast number of DApps and DeFi projects utilizing SOL as well, many who could use help from a de-VC like the MADdegens Community (MDC).
